Spotlight Searching Photos is broken for me

Hi All

Using the magnifying glass to do a spotlight search doesn't search the photos app - just the finder, notes and messages.

I spoke to Apple who said there is a bug causing spotlight searches to fail if the photo library is using any sync service including icloud photo library. I use iCloud photo library.

Is this true for anyone else?

I am on Mac OS Ventura 13.1

I get something that says “Photos from apps”. When you click Show More it takes me to matches found in Notes and Photos. But there is no Photos section on the main search results like there is for other apps. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks. That section for me shows notes and finder photos not the photos app.
