Spotlight Server Search

Any insights on how this works? I just upgraded to 3.0, but can't seem to search the server for either my Gmail or Exchange servers. I go to mail, enter a search term in the search box, but the "Search Server" option doesn't show up. Is anyone else able to search their Gmail accounts through IMAP? What have I missed here?

It does not work in Spotlight. It works when you open the mail app and search in there.

What he said. Also, make sure you are doing it in the "All Mail" folder, not the inbox folder.
