Was working great this morning...now nothing 🙁

No results from whatever I type ... just stays blank. Preferences dont hold any clues, I haven't dragged the root drive into Privacy settings or anything daft. What is odd is that I did add a couple of folders to privacy window as a test and they aren't there now.

Ideas ?!?!?! Thinking of going back to 10.3 as I now have several major issues with 10.4 🙁

delete the .Spotlight-VT100 folder in the root of your drive.

Using terminal? Which folder do you refer to as 'root' ?

i.e. in terminal does 'cd /' take me to root?

Thanks!

Figured it out .. didn't read it properly and realise it's a folder and not a file.

I used:

sudo rm -r .Spotlight-V100

..still no go though - will try a reboot..

Cheers,

Getting the Indexing dialog now after a reboot so something is happening - thanks x 10000000000000 ! 😀 😀
