Hey. Just got the new 13" MBP a few weeks ago (first mac), and I've been trying to get as proficient with OSX as I was with Windows. I've run into a slight problem (extremely slight, but rather annoying). I just reinstalled OSX in an attempt to fix this (I had time), and it didn't help. When I use spotlight (Command-Space), and search for any of the Preference Panes (e.g. Mouse, Universal Access, etc.), the default "light switch" icon appears beside the search result rather than the specific icon. As far as I recall (hopefully you can confirm), this was not the case before. Oddly enough, when I use Command-Option-Space instead, the problem no longer exists. The icons also display just fine in the System Preferences window. Maybe a preference file got corrupted? Any help would be appreciated.

I get this on Mac OS X 10.6.3

Wow. Well that's odd. I was so sure that the icons were different. Well, I guess that solves that. Anyway, thanks for the help and the links!

EDIT: I just did some searching and apparently the icons are indeed supposed to show up. I'll post some pics momentarily

EDIT 2: Hurm... the pics I found seem to indicate that the icons only show up in previous versions of OSX. Weird.
