I was taking a photo of an item today on a mostly white background I noticed some dark spots that show up all over the photo (seen in both live view, video, and on the still). I pointed out what I'm seeing in a few spots in the attached image but if you look, you can see several more. At first I thought something was on my screen or dust on the lens but I cleaned the lens and it's obvious it's not the screen since I can clearly see them in the photos on the computer as well. I used a magnifying glass and don't see any dust on/under the glass or on the lenses.

I can see it in 2x mode as well though the spots are larger and a little lighter. Anyone else have this aberration? I think it may be dust on the sensor.

*edit* added a gif of a vid snippet to show it though I had to compress it to make a reasonable file size so it doesn't show up as well as the video. The top right hand area spot is the most prominent.

I had the exact same issue with my iPhone X - brought it in before the 1 year included apple care expired and they replaced the camera (wording on the work order).

Trying to decide if it's worth my time to go have it fixed. I noticed it a while back when I took a picture with a lot of blue sky but I chalked it up to dirt on the glass and didn't investigate further so it's not something that I notice a lot.

Most think this is dust on the lens. Anybody who’s owned a dlsr, has had sensor dust. I’ve shot a lens that had a crack that did not show up in the final pic. It is usually not on the lens, but the sensor. You have heard of people tapping the phone, which dislodges the dust from the sensor.
