While riding Caltrain from MtView to San Francisco last Thursday (4/2) I noticed someone below wearing a small (38mm) Apple Watch. I snapped a few photos ( https://twitter.com/helmstetler/status/584966770978459648). I asked the guy once in SF if he like the watch. He said it was, "really great". He then covered the watch with his sweater (placed over wrist, not worn) and began to walk away quickly. He used the watch a few times to I beleive read text messages and look at other notifications. He seemed more interested in playing a game on his iPhone vs using the watch.

Why cover it when it has already been on show. As if he wanted the attention.

Exactly. He seemed shocked when I asked if he like the watch, but didn't make any effort to cover the watch from Mt View to SF. I assume developers or key Apple employees already have the watch.

That tweet has had one retweet and one favourite. I think that is indicative of the interest in the watch.

Why didn't you post it on thursday

----------

The watch looks tiny, 38 should be out for 99% of men

The 38mm looks awkward on his wrist. Odd.

I disagree but that's my taste - a lot of people on this forum state that 'large is better' and that '42mm is for men'. Personally I like a small understated watch (I have 175mm wrists and will be buying 38mm unless a visit to the store changes my mind).

Spotted, Apple Watch on Caltrain

Why should it? I think it looks good. Please realise that many people will have a different opinion to yours.

I like the bigger watch. They do look better also the added bonus of a little extra battery life.

Grow up.

I bet you he is a tech journalist with a review unit.

It looks like he's using each product exactly what they should be used for!

If you're wasting time playing games, you do that on your phone. If you're looking at notifications, you do that on your watch....

Just like if you're reading a novel, and you have both your tablet and phone with you, you use your tablet.

Just like if you've got some coding to do, and you have both your tablet and your laptop with you, you use your laptop.

(I expect the responses of 'I should be able to use what I want to' - fine. You're allowed to, but I'll use what's more suited to my task at hand)

He has to be. At this stage before the official release I imagine the only people outside of Apple who would have one is a journalist who is reviewing it. It doesn't have to be a tech journalist though.

The first Apple Watch guided tour video on Apple's YouTube channel has over 1M views and 9K likes. I think that is more indicative of the interest in the watch. ;)

I concur. Also looks like there will be a way to rotate the screen. He's a lefty (wearing the Watch on this right hand, look at the crown).

Yup, I saw somewhere (probably this site) that you can configure it as such through the iPhone app.
