General Springboard crash question

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever experienced or heard of someone that has had springboard crash on an unjailbroken iDevice?
 
Yes, back in the "old" days, I had a couple of 3G devices which used to crash at the termination of a phone call.

Got both replaced by Apple Store.
