Springboard crashes when receiving new text message?

For some reason, springboard crashes now when I get a new text message and the display is off. Not sure why, it just started doing it. Any reason on why it would be doing this?
 
Well I installed MakeItMine, WinterBoard, OpenSSH, NoAccessorySplace iOS4, Glaskart HD Theme, some video wallpapers.
 
I had exact same problem... any notifications caused safe mode... texts, calendar notices, etc.

NoAccessorySplace iOS4 was the problem... realized I installed an update for that app earlier today. Once I removed the problem has gone away.

Wow thats it. Just removed it and all is good. Thank goodness! Was getting ready to restore! Sad that it doesn't work though.
 
Same problem with sms receiving

Hello i recently jailbroke my iphone 4 ios 4.2.1. With greenpoison everything fine but whenever i receive sms it goes into safe mode. I do not have any of the above mentioned apps. Any ideas please if i can avoid restore and rejailbreak...thanxzzzzz anyway :)

So, which tweaks do you have installed on the device?

I had the old Bitesms on my phone (i think 4.something) and it kept going into safe mode! I installed the newest version and all is fine now.

I've been having the same problem. Every time I receive a text my Springboard crashes into safe mode. I've restored and re-jailbroken 3 times and the problem persists. Also, I don't have any of those apps installed. I DO have crash reported and the only suspects for the crashes have been MailDataProvider and ChatKit. I don't know where to send the syslogs or crash logs to either. Any information on any of these things would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to have to restore again.

LOL @ buying an iPhone 4 when the 4S was out.

Springboard keeps crashing when receiving a message :( Can someone help me? Should i restore and re-jailbreak it?

Iphone 4, running on ios 5.0.1.
 
i have zeppelin, winterboard and springtomize all without problems. does the problem happen whilst you are in safe mode? if not then i suspect one of your tweaks are causing the problem you could systematically remove them and test which one is causing the problem
