springflash blink/flicker when turning on?

when I use springflash with Activator it would blink or flicker once while turning on the flash. Is this normal?
I've been using the appStore flash apps and they just turn on without blinking.

Yup same here. It's a minor annoyance but not that big of a deal for me

Same here. So looks like its quite normal.
Also, I have seen that off late my led flash's Intensity has reduced.

I can say that because earlier I couldn't see directly at it. It would strain my eyes. But now I can.

My iPhone 4 is more than 14 months old.

could be your LED is slowly dying or maybe your eyes is has adapted to looking at bright lights. hehe

SpringFlash just needs to be updated to work properly. I had BBSettings installed and it has a flashlight toggle that works right every time.

It is a "bug" ever since 5.0, it hasn't been updated but i'm just really glad it still works.

Mine does not flicker, but is there any way to have the screen turn off when springflash is enabled?
