Alright, im between Sprint and ATT for my iphone 4S.
Lets say I bought ATT, and 2 years pass, will it become unlocked?
Lets say I go Sprint, and during the 2 years, can I use a micro SIM card from a local area to any country i go to?

Thanks for answers!

Since the iP4S has GSM and CDMA radios, that's a good question on both counts.

If AT&T hasn't already started unlocking iPhones, then I doubt they will change that policy barring some FCC or congressional intervention.

The Sprint site says nothing about using a microSIM in "their" iP4S for international travel, but it seems that from a competitive perspective they would certainly want to allow it. However, I'm not sure how they would keep you from using a pre-paid microSIM domestically... which I'm sure they wouldn't want you to do.

Verizon 4s's are supposedly sim locked to their gsm roaming partner vodaphone - I suspect sprint will be too to something similar.

We'll know for sure next Friday.
