Hey everyone! After restoring my iPhone 4s to iOS 8.4 through iTunes (from iOS 9 public beta) and restoring from my previous 8.4 backup, I can no longer get a 3G signal, just 1x, even in areas where I got 3G previously. In addition, I can no longer use any 3rd-party apps, as they are blacked out and will not open. This is a really big issue that I need help with ASAP. Thanks!

Sprint, that's the OPs first issue!

Please don't judge me. It's all my family can afford, and it works well for us most of the time.

If you have something constructive to add to the conversation, feel free to stay. If you have something destructive to add, please leave without saying a word.

Let's not turn it into another 20 page anti-Sprint rant please. Just trying to solve his issue. :D

Thank you very much. I really appreciate you helping me out with this issue.

In response to your earlier post, I will try that tonight when I get a chance and report my findings back here.

Yes. Try that. If your 3G returns then you know it's a corrupt backup.

Do i have to go through iTunes, or can i just Erase all content and settings from my iPhone? I am asking because I'm away from my Mac until monday, and need a working data connection by Sunday.

Go ahead and try it from your phone. Just set up as new. If you don't get 3G back I'd try it from iTunes as the next step. But if time is of the essence and it does not work from the phone the only other option I can see is a visit to an Apple store.

Sprint won't help in this instance.
