3G should not be 0.04 kb/s... That's like -4 g

Sprint's 3G is terrible is what I meant, I know how you feel, I spent 2 years with a 4s on their 3G network and it was terrible.

LOL :) After an intense 2-hr International Finance exam, I really needed to read this post. A good laugh is hard to come by.

My advice: Switch to Verizon. You know the little saying "you get what you pay for"? Well it's true. You might as well roll down your window and throw $80 out on the highway.

pretty sure even if you sit right ontop of the Sprint tower at the Sprint headquarters you still wont get anywhere close to 30 Mbps LTE speeds. 50 is dreamland for Sprint.

I'm willing to bet that Dan Hesse isn't suffering like his customers are. Sprint execs probably carry devices with the highest priority on all their towers.

Highest priority on their towers?
Priority or not they will still experience their turtle data speeds.
Since they have lots of money they probably use Verizon or AT&T devices:D

Highest priority would probably mean 1mbps down / .5 up. Meanwhile, 200+ Sprint customers are wondering why their data is so slow or non-existent.

It wouldn't surprise me if Hesse had a shiny new Verizon iPhone 5S with a grandfathered unlimited data plan.

It would be so embarrassing but you do catch many times people trying to endorse products but they actually use something else or a competitors item in real life:D

So true. I'm not trying to pass judgment here, but usually people in high places that are marketing subpar products/services are so enthusiastic about their products for one reason and one reason only: They're not the ones forced to actually use it.

If Sprint's Board of Directors were forced to use Sprint towers (assuming this would be on the same priority level as their customers) for even a week, they'd light a fire under their engineering team. A perfect analogy would be promising a smoker a cigarette but only allowing them to puff on half an inch of it LOL. :)

Sprint is rolling out LTE in a lot of areas where I live in Southern California. They still have a long way to go as far as improvement. Not just in speed but in reliability and customer service. I'm willing to put up a lot because I pay next to nothing on a family plan split five ways.

We (my family) were at Disneyland about a month ago. Got LTE throughout the park there in Anaheim. I was expecting to be roaming, but it was a nice surprise to have LTE there.

Of course where my parents live (IE), Sprint hasn't gotten around to yet!

Here in south eastern MA Sprint actually has pretty solid LTE coverage. I still made the switch to T-Mo for their $30 prepaid plan though, because the moment I venture out a bit my service goes to **** and it's like putting my $85 in a shredder.

left them for the original iPhone when it was released...never looked back.

Waited for them (Sprint) to get the iPhone. Waited another year when it turned out that the iPhone they got first was the 4s (I hate the 4 and 4s). Very happy with my black Sprint iPhone 5…didn't miss much considering that the original iPhone didn't do picture mail and cut and paste. Something my Sanyo Katana dumb flip phone was capable of doing at the time.

ahh the flip phones...the good ole days!

When I had my 4s the data was extremely slow and frustrating. Luckily, I have wifi at home and work. Once I switched to an LTE device (5s) I haven't had any problems. So glad I didn't jump ship because I would be paying double if I went with AT&T. Right now, LTE is available at all the places I frequent in Metro Atlanta and I am getting very good speeds, even while streaming iTunes radio. I will be the first to admit that 3G sucks *** as I've suffered through it for the past 2 years on the 4s.

Yeah, there is a several pages long angry thread about the 4s and slow 3G over on the Sprint BAW forums. It amounted to something wrong with Sprint, but Sprint blaming Apple and Apple blaming Sprint. Never got resolved and then of course the congestion kicked in.

The same damn thing that was affecting the 4 and 4s on 3G also hit the 5. My HTC Touch Pro that I used to have could do considerably better than my iPhone 5 on 3G (I never really had issues) and that phone was 3G only. I have an Airave at home because of this condition. Fortunately, LTE is in Phoenix now so the pain is almost gone.
