I don't wish any ill will towards Sprint, because I value competition. But sometimes I'm amazed they are still in business. This reeks of desperation, and the fact that the bill more than doubles after a year shows their true, piss yellow colors.

They're just doing barely enough to keep the lights on while they wait for someone to buy them

Sprint was the best fit for me, T-Mobile doesn't work here, At&T and Verizon unlimited single plans are way too high.
With my plan I get 5 GB of Personal Hotspot.

garbage company, garbage network. An iPhone on sprint is no better than an iPod touch.

Hey! I am a SERO Premium 500 customer and LOVE it! I am rocking my iPhone 7 plus with carrier intragrated google voice for $61.63 a month and still have a subsidy!!~

I keep wanting to like Sprint. But, I work in non-native SPCS areas - but not in really remote areas. Every time I read about these deals, I examine their TOS for one item/restriction. I found it again, so I'll pass. Again.

"Usage Limitations: To improve data experience for the majority of users, throughput may be limited, varied or reduced on the network. Sprint may terminate service if off-network roaming usage in a month exceeds: (1) 800 min. or a majority of min.; or (2) 100MB or a majority of KB. Prohibited network use rules apply—see sprint.com/termsandconditions."

It's that 100MB data roaming "restriction" Usage Limitation item that keeps popping up that just kills it for me. I do read the fine print…
https://www.sprint.com/landings/unlimited-cell-phone-plans/index.html?ECID=vanity:unlimited - read the "Usage Limitations" bit, like I always do. I can blow through 100MB in a day…

I really feel bad for our American friends having to live under these conditions.

Here, you get unlimited everything, no throttling of anything, and no restrictions on streaming media for $17 per month. Only caveat is that tethering and Wi-Fi hotspot use is limited to 50 GB per month.

I just want reliable service in the tri-state area for 1,000 voice minutes and 100 texts, no data. The lowest Sprint will go is $30 plus taxes for unlimited phone/text and 2gb of high speed data. Anyone know of a reliable prepaid phone company that runs off the sprint network that can deliver 1,000 voice/100 texts for less than $20 per month?

The sad thing is that they've got so much potential. They've got a ton of towers to run off, problem is they are all fractured. You've got WiMAX, iDEN, and if they'd just invest in making sure all the old towers are converted... They'd have great service. They've come a ways but just not far enough.
They need to work with the cell tower owners, get everyone on the same page.

Sprint management and corporate culture is toxic. They hate their customers.

I wish some European low cost service provider, with experience in a genuinely competitive environment, which much of Europe is (and we are not, we have government sanctioned oligopoly here) would buy up their equipment, fire all management, including middle, and then absolutely slam the other three oligopolists.

Is the throttle trigger of 23g per phone on the account or for the entire account?

Thanks

Thanks for asking. I've been a SERO 500 (500 mins, unlimited text and data) customer with Sprint for 9 years. I've always had excellent service wherever needed, home, work, traveling. Recent trips to Belgium and Aruba were both accommodated with inexpensive roaming on compatible local networks. The only time I have no Sprint service is the occasional trip on the desolate stretch of I80 between Laramie and the Utah border. But I still have phone calling on 1x roaming at no additional charge. And my bill with fees and taxes is $55 a month. I am a VERY satisfied Sprint customer.
