So this is happening in real time as I type
I'm on the phone with Sprint, switching from my iPhone 6 to a Note 5. I am fully eligible for an upgrade and the Sprint rep says why not wait til next week and you can get an iPhone 6s Plus or and iPhone 7

this is shocking I asked is that what your system shows and yes.

thats all I can report for now.

Also I'm switching because BestBuy is giving me $350 for my iPhone 6 16GB, So thats $350 towards a new iPad Mini 4.

Just because the Sprint system shows that, it doesn't mean that will be the name. Only the higher-ups at Apple know the name and we will all find out next week anyway.

What would be awesome if every single leak was wrong and Apple release the iPhone 7 with removable battery and sd card support. THis would be awesome since apple started the sealed battery and internal storage only revolution and all others are finally following suite. Would be hilarious if apple did a 360.

Yes I'm just having fun :)

Lol I speak to sprint reps pretty much every day as part of my job and let me tell you they don't even know their own plans or systems sometimes let alone something like a new iPhone release. I doubt anything is in their systems yet.

How long have you been with Sprint?

I ask because Sprint reps have a well known reputation for lying to the customer in order to meet their sales quotas.

Not saying that is what's happening here, but if you stick with Sprint for any length of time you have to learn to take what they say (no matter who says it) with a grain of salt.

That is because turnover at Sprint is very high unless you manage to get off the bottom tier sales rep spots.

Six months. The average length of employment for a new Sprint employee.

Apple should do that, where the entire 3'rd of the back drops away all aluminum, and you can slap another one on. So 3rd party junky lithium packs the entire 3rd back is all battery which seemlessly attatches on. No battery compartment no paper thin plastic back.

Yes, the iPhone 6S is coming this month. The iPhone 7 is coming next year.

I like rumors like this. I'm all for it in the name of fun - just me having an open mind. Maybe, the 6S will be the current iPhone 6 and the 6+ is the new iPhone 7. If this is the case, I am upgrading next year to the 7S.

While it's possible that there is a typo in their system and it actually says that more likely it is like normal where carrier reps know nothing and say what they think you want to hear.

I've been predicting up in here that Apple would abandon the "S" nomenclature this year, and go right to "7" or something else -- but if that were true, I guess we probably would have heard an inkling of it by now (via something more reliable than a confused Sprint rep).

Let me guess, they are telling you they have the best coverage and service as well?

I wouldn't trust a damn thing any Sprint rep told me. Unless it had something to do with how awful their company is.

Lol! Just another reason for me to leave Sprint. I remember when the reps were hyping up WiMAX 4G for like 2 years, telling me it was right around the corner and it never came.

Now I'm apparently in the dead center of a Spark coverage area. Well, it's definitely "dead".

I've literally been hearing about Spark for atleast 2 years and how it will be the second coming.

What a joke

Definitely a joke, to say the least.

I live in the middle of a major metropolitan area and can't even send an ******* picture message. LTE is slow as crap, and 3G might as well display "No Service" on my phone. Absolutely ridiculous. Why I stayed with them this long, I'll never know.

I'm only using it because of the Cut Your Rate In Half + iPhone Forever deal. It's alright in my area when you're not paying that much + you can get the new iPhone every year (hopefully they don't kill the plan in a year).

Not sayings it happening but when they make So many upgrades they may go straight to 7 hurting Samsung and their 6 line

New 7000 Series Aluminum
New Camera
New Force Touch
New CPU A9
New RAM DDR4
likely full NFC support

But I think its Unlikely.

Apple is not releasing the iPhone 7 this fall ... but even if they were, they would not release the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 6S at the same time. The Sprint dude was either blowing smoke up your skirt, or he had no clue. My money is in the latter.
