sprint to T mobile

I recently changed carriers from sprint to T mobile . Now on top it says t mobile on the main screen of my iPhone 5 . but when i go into settings under phone it shows sprint and my old sprint number for messaging. how do i get my new number to run in messenger and get all the setting to say T-mobile and get all the sprint off my phone? Any insight is appreciated .

You'll most likely need to do a restore.

I've had to do that on Sprint just to get a phone number change to take.
