T Tim2.0 macrumors newbie Jun 24, 2009 #2 Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get yourself a nice set of mini screwdrivers for about $20 or less. I don't know where to get a spudger besides online (I got mine from Stanley).

GfulDedFan macrumors 65816 Jun 24, 2009 #3 This seems reasonable: Metal Spudger Set and there are other selections to choose from at iFixit.com. If you want to go to a store for one, try Radio Shack -GDF

E eman macrumors 6502a Jun 24, 2009 #4 I wouldn't bother buying a spudger, you don't need it to rip into a macbook. Harbor freight should have some small screw drivers.

NewMacbookPlz macrumors 68040 Jun 25, 2009 #5 You can also find thin metal "spudgers" at a laboratory supply shop if you have anything like that around you. In my experience, a thin and broad flat head screw driver works just as well so long as you're gentle.

dejo Moderator emeritus Jun 25, 2009 #6 I recommend avoiding any metal spudger/blade in favor of plastic. You still have to be careful but plastic will lessen any potential damage.

slpdLoad macrumors 6502a Jun 25, 2009 #7 Don't bother looking for a "spudger" in a store - nobody has any idea what you're talking about. If you don't buy it online, just use a credit card or buy some guitar picks.

Extra heavy ones ;D I take it you went into a store and felt a bit of a fool when you asked for a spudger? 😉
