Spyder3 software freezes iMac with Lion

Loading Spyder3 Utilities causes my iMac to freeze and I have to do a hard reboot. I have sent report to Apple and DataColor.

It worked fine with SL, I calibrated my monitor just before installing Lion. I guess I had a premonition.

Does anyone else have this problem or have a suggestion.

Do you have the latest version of the software from their website?

If you do, are there any useful log messages in Console right before a crash?

I uninstalled Spyder3 and downloaded and reinstalled latest version. Still freezes computer. Sent log report to Apple, I don't know if it was useful.

Just talked to Apple Care, they think it might be just a coincidence that the iMac freezes when I load Spyder3. After 2 hours on the phone, they told me to make an appt. to bring it in to store for someone to look look at it.

Did you contact the vendor regarding this issue? Perhaps its an incompatibility with their software.

Its more likely a issue with the USB driver if it freezes the entire computer.
