SquareTrade warranty?

I'm thinking of getting the squaretrade warranty for my iPad incase the unexpected happens. I've never used squaretrade, and I'm wondering how people's experiences have been with them. Is it a good idea or not to go with squaretrade?

Why get this? Especially if you have home owners insurance and you will be buying the new iPad when they release it next year....you know you won't drop it between now and then.

Who (in this thread at least) said they were getting a new model next year? As for not dropping it for a year, hey accidents happen. That's why they are called accidents!!!

As for the homeowner policy, not all polices would cover you dropping something or small electronics items. But hey, if yours does more power to you. Stick with that then.

Using homeowners insurance would be a poor way to go in many cases. First of all, one would have to have a very small deductible and even then, payback in premiums would be inevitable. Small claims are frowned upon by insurance companies. 🙂

I bought the SquareTrade warranty. I can sleep comfortably 🙂. If anything ever happens, I can just call them up. 🙂

Squaretrade has a good reputation for taking care of their customers. It's a good buy to get piece of mind in case you drop your iPad.

I have several Squaretrade warranties and have thankfully not needed them (yet).
