Happy Holidays All,
I just installed Leopard on my Mother's G5 iMac PowerPC 17" and almost immediately upon install the computer began to make a squeaking noise from within. This sound can be described as a chirp or squeak whenever programs are opened/closed. I first I thought that I was hearing things, but now it is all that I hear when I use the computer. It is a very sharp and quick sound, almost like a brief scratching of a chalkboard. Our family has recently converted over to the world of Apple and as a result I know very little about how to resolve this issue. Has anyone else either directly experienced this same problem or read about it? I couldn't find a topic like this in this forum.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Cheers
