Squeaky lid/lcd

Is this common with Mac-Books or something is wrong with mine, every time I move it or close the lid it makes squeaky noises.

Same with mine. It can get annoying!

Mine doesn't squeak. Never really heard that as a problem for the MBs. Do you live in a very dry climate?

A drop or two of WD40 on each end of the screen hinge might do the trick.

That happened to me, and finally it got so bad, that I finnaly took it in, and they replaced the hinge for me in about a day.

After that, no squeek, and it opens and closes much smoother.

Thank you for the info, I will drive to a mac store when I get a chance to have this issue resolved its really getting on my nerves.
