i just got a new mbp and i popped in a dvd and it wont recognize the dvd. its just a normal rented dvd from blockbuster or somewhere. when i put it in the dvd player launches but then it says it cant recognize the dvd. if anyone has any idea thats would be great. thanks.

what studio is the dvd from? all recent sony/columbia dvds have trouble in many dvd players because of a new drm protection.
 
Is "Toast" or any other burning software opened ? On my mini, sometimes the DVDs wont show up even in the finder until I quit Toast.
