my 2007 MBP won't read any of the new stack of CD-R's i just bought. it reads DVD's just fine. could it be the disks? i have not used my drive all that much, so i can't believe it would be failing. what say you?

    thanks!

I had the same problem with my late 2006 mbp. It was only with Sony cd-r's that wouldn't read. I took it into apple with one of the cd's and all of their machines would recognize it so they ended up replacing my SuperDrive

Yea. It was pretty strange because it was just that one type of cd. It probably wasn't even worth taking into apple. It was a little bit of a hassle and they ended keeping my mbp for 3 days
