My boss has a MacBook that self identifies as "late 2009" and the Keyboard doesn't want to cooperate with me. I've scoured google, and havent found anyone describing the problem im having.
The Keyboard will input, and some keys input correctly (numbers [1..0]), and every key seems to register (something happens in textedit/terminal) but its like the letters, function keys, and mod keys are all mixed up.

Example: when viewing the keyboard input visually, pushing the right shift key will trigger capslock, fn, ctrl, alt, and command.

    Trackpad seems entirely okay.

Works just fine with an external keyboard.

System diagnostics shows no errors, and the system profiler shows no corruption for 'Apple internal keyboard/trackpad'.

He ardently denies any spills or other damage, case and keys seem in mint condition.

    Anyone have any advice?
    Thanks!
