So I've noticed while the Apple Watch charges, it gets pretty warm, and I'm guessing this is normal having the SS case (I had a sports and it never got warm while charging).

Ive also noticed once waking up and checking the watch, it still remains quiet warm, even though it would have hit 100% a good 4-5 hours ago.

Is it normal for the watch to constantly be warm while on the charger, even when at 100%, is anyone else with the SS finding this is the case? Is this safe?, is it damaging the battery?, should we be removing the watch as soon as it hits 100%?.

mine stays warm. If im home on the weekends i don't usually strap it on and just leave it charging. hope that is ok???

Same for me. When I take the watch off the charger every morning, the watch was warm.

Mine isn't, but it's on the charger for about 8-10 hours so it's got a lot of time to cool down after finishing charging. The ones I tried on at the Apple store were all very warm and the genius that helped me said that was totally normal.

You guys really ought to read the manual ...

https://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1708/en_US/apple_watch_user_guide.pdf

To charge Apple Watch, use only the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable and included power adapter (and, for Apple Watch Edition, the included Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case with cable or the included Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable). You may also use third-party Lightning cables and 5W power adapters featuring an MFi logo. It’s important
to keep Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, and the power adapter in a well-ventilated area when charging. When charging Apple Watch Edition in the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, keep the case open. Using a damaged Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable or Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, or charging when moisture is present, can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to Apple Watch or other property. Be sure Apple Watch
and the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable or Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case are
dry before charging. When you use the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable or Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case to charge Apple Watch, make sure that the USB plug is fully inserted into the adapter before you plug the adapter into a power outlet. Avoid charging Apple Watch in direct sunlight. Don’t wear Apple Watch while it is charging.
Lightning cable and connector Avoid prolonged skin contact with the connector when the Lightning to USB Cable is plugged in to a power source because it may cause discomfort or injury. Sleeping or sitting on the Lightning connector should be avoided.
Prolonged heat exposure Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, the
Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, and the power adapter comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. However, even within these limits, sustained contact with warm surfaces for long periods of time may cause discomfort or injury. Apple Watch, the
Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, and the power adapter will become warm when plugged in to a power source. Use common sense to avoid situations where your skin is in contact with Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, or the power adapter for long periods of time when they’re plugged in. For example, while Apple Watch is charging or while the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, or the power adapter are plugged in to a power source, don’t sleep on them or place them under a blanket, pillow, or your body. Take special care if you have a physical condition that affects your ability to detect heat against the body. Remove Apple Watch if it becomes uncomfortably warm.

I was having the same problem. Did a hard reset on my watch and my phone and it wasn't hot last night. Give that a shot...otherwise its normal if its just warm. If its hot to the point you can't touch it theres a problem
