SSD 950 PRO in MB Air 2012

Hello, i want to change the Apple ssd for the new Samsung SSD 950 PRO (http://www.samsung.com/global/busin...SSD/global/html/ssd950pro/specifications.html ) I have been googling a lot but can't seem to find if it will work it the MacBook. Can anyone help me out?

No, form factor is wrong. You need something like this:

JetDrive 520 for 2012 MBA. I have one and it's been working great for a couple of years now.

Does anyone else recommend any third-party ssd that would suit it? Also would the 950 Pro fit any other mac?

The current Mac models share the same SSD design. There was even someone who managed to fit the 1 TB SSD into an Air. The Mac Pro (tower not trash can) is easy, you just slide in an adapter card.

The 2012 MBA is not a current Mac model, and storage devices from current Macs will not fit or work.

Also would the 950 Pro fit any other mac?

The Samsung 950 Pro will fit any Mac that takes a 2.5" form factor HDD or SSD.

There's only two for the 2012 Air. The OWC Aura drive and the Transcend Jetdrive 520

Otherwise you can try to find an OEM Apple SSD for the 2012 Air on eBay or elsewhere. Only the year 2012 will fit, the 2013+ Airs and 2010-2011 Airs use completely different drives
