    Hi all,

I gave a late 2010 Macbook A1370 air to my little sister just for her to do simple tasks (i.e surf the internet, steam videos and whatever else 12 year old girls do). I upgraded the SSD using a 250GB Crucial M.2 SATA SSD and then a Sintech M.2 NGFF SSD Adapter Card. The speeds have increased dramatically and I'm extremely happy with the results of the upgrade except one thing...

The combination of the adapter and new SSD means that the back case is not fully able to be closed. and thus leaves a little hump that I am afraid will either harm the SSD in the longterm or destroy the logic board.

could anyone offer me any advice as to how to avoid this problem? maybe a larger back cover that will accomodate for the new space?

tl;dr: i bought a new ssd for a 2010 macbook air, however the adapter makes a bulge in the back cover, what should I do?
