Hello
I have recently started content creation. My most recent video is in 4k and over an hour long. This has made me hit the storage ceiling for my MacBook when editing using Final Cut Pro.

As a result, I'm now in the market for an SSD. 500-1000GB is fine. My criteria are:
-Less than £70
-Reliable
-Fast as possible
-USB type C

What's everyone's thoughts on SSDs from less known brands like this one:

They must have this over there, too:

I have the T7 as well. Great value, definitely recommend.

It's worth noting: Because of limitations on the USB-C controllers for the Mac, you won't reach the full speeds of the T7 (or any similar SSD that you use) because the Mac can't provide full 10gbps USB 3.2 on the ports. You'll still get about 700MB/sec real world, but you're unlikely to get any faster than this on any of these USB drives (the thunderbolt enclosure ones might be able to do better, but for that you'll have to spend several times the money).

I have a 2018 Mini.
A couple of minutes ago, I just tested my t7 (USBc port) and got read speeds of 923 and write speed of 940.

That's about as good as can be expected (with Intel).
I realize that on Apple Silicon the speeds may be a little slower.

Yea, I'm referring to Apple Silicon ones, I should have clarified. The Intel ones will benchmark much better.
