moving LR cataloge files

"the catalog you just put where ever ? it really does not make any effect on how quick the sliders come into view in develop mode so depending on what you do or how you organize photos you can keep them with your photos "

The problem is when LR is opened, it is looking for the Irdata and Icat files in the old location, how to I tell LR they have been moved to my new RAID 0 volume?

you could click on the .lrcat file then when it opens you will have to point the folders again to find the photos ?

or I believe you can create a new catalog then import the old one into it ? forgot the exact steps to this but its pretty easy ?


also I find once this is done :) I keep my catalogs with my images and just my cache on the other HDD ? that way the paths are always on the same HDD and in the same folder structure ?
