Hi,

I've installed a SSD HDD in an optibay in my 13" MBP. Up until now I've had no issues with it but today was watching a video on it through VLC when the video all of a sudden froze. I quit VLC & went to Finder to re-open the video file but when I opened finder my SSD was no longer listed, it's just disappeared.
I've got a ton of important files on it and I need to frequently access it but I have no idea where it went.
I opened up my MBP case and made sure everything was still connected and in place but it's still not showing up.

Please help me!

Buy an external USB drive caddy, extract the SSD and see if it comes up, if it does then possibly you have an issue with the Optibay unit or its cables. If it doesn't come up then the SSD itself has failed, you will need to replace it and restore from your backup.

If you don't have or can't get an external caddy then swap the SSD and HDD drives over and see if it will boot and go from there.
