Sorry everyone, I know all of my topics have been about SSDs, but I just neeed help.

I pluged in my ssd, then booted Mac OS X. Formatted the SSD then installed Mac OS X on it. It said 40 mins, then I walked away for 5 MINS came back, and it has the apple logo on it. It's had that logo on it for maybe an hour now, does this mean theres something wrong? Or is it still installing,

Thanks for your patience.

Will

I installed it yesterday on my SSD, and I can say it took longer than expected, but no way it stayed on the apple logo longer than 20 sec (even that was my mistake, loading most of the files from the HDD which wasn't planned)

I would say reboot and reinstall, make sure your MacOSx install disk/device is clean and reliable, as well as all physical connections and power supply.

Good luck!

Doing anything with the disk drive will be sloooooooooooooooow. Let us know how it turns out
