Id say only put OS and application onto the SSD. You can then maybe move the most frequently used large files over there aswell (the ones that take ages to load) just so that you don't wait for stuff to open. But keep all of you other data on the HDD.
 
Since done more research and it seems that home folders can be kept on SSD as most data can be put anywhere as an option when saving.

So no need to change home folder to HD.
