Hey. I'm using Macbook Pro 2015 15". I just clean installed MacOS 10.14 a month ago and would like to do it again since things got cluttered up. I'm concerned whether this might cause unwanted wear to the SSD and have any considerable effect on the overall SSD life.

Are you writing hundreds of gigabytes of data per day in your daily workflow?

Don’t worry about the SSD. Unless you are writing GBs of data every day, and running a defrag frequently, you will be fine.

SSDs will last even an enthusiast at least 5 years, the same as their mechanical counterpart.... unless they’re cheap Chinese knockoffs made of SD cards...

I have a 2012 MBP that's still going strong, and it had countless formats, reinstalls and constant usage. Its not relegated to backup status and/or my kids use it but It just shows you how long it can last.
