Hi,
I'm planning on installing optibay with an SSD of 64 GB in my 15"uMBP. My original plan was to install OS X on that drive, and move my home and applications folder to my regular drive. The reason i'm doing this is for the boot-up speed increase of an SSD. I've got two questions:

Will I be able to move my Home and Applications folder to my second harddrive?

And does this seem like a good idea to you?

I would leave the applications folder (and any applications) on the SSD, as that will ensure that they get the start-up speed advantage of the ssd.

As for everything else, put it on your hard drive.
