Amazon is offering up to 60% off crucial M4 SSD'S. can i put an SSD in the optibay or is not fast enough for it?

Cool. That's the same price I paid for my 256GB a week ago. I wish I had the extra cash for the 512GB model.

I'm sure it would work fine in your optical drive bay.

Here's the link to the 512gb version http://amzn.to/QeTsaa

Personally, that's an AWESOME price! And for a great drive..My God.

... I should probably just get this now. Planning on installing a 128GB SSD in the future.

I would wait to buy. The prices are consistently falling, so I wouldn't rush. But if you were waiting to buy, nows the time.

Yeah, good suggestion. I don't really "need" it now - I can wait, perhaps there will be an even better sale in the future.

Is the Crucial worth the extra $50?

The Agility line is OCZ's "budget line" so to speak, it doesn't perform as well as the Vertex drives. I would probably compare the Vertex pricing to the M4 pricing for a better apples to apples comparison.

I agree but the Vertex 4 is leaps faster than the M4. The M4s write speeds are kind of pathetic.

Interesting. I had a Crucial in my cart at Amazon. For $349, I'm tempted. At $399, no.

I'll guess the OCZ for $299 would still be significantly faster than the WD Black I have now, right? Even if it isn't as fast as the Vertex 4 or M4 . . .
