Ordered the Crucial M4 512GB while Amazon had the $350 deal going. I've been waiting for them to fall to a reasonable price and figured it was time (though as others have said, I'm sure there will be better deals to be had as the days go on).

Cloning my HDD to the SSD now. 235GB transfered so far. It's been a little over 4 hours. Around 200 GB to go. Off to bed and hopefully everything will be done without a hitch tomorrow!

Well, the Vertex 4 128GB is on sale for $79, and the Agility 4 128GB is $55 after rebate. These Amazon deals are still going right now.

And amazing deals. The vertex 4 is stupid fast and a good drive. my brother has a V4 256GB in his 2012 13" with no issues, firmware was super easy to update on a mac too via the macbooter.

Just installed the Crucial M4 in my MBP mid-2009 13 5,5 2.53 core2duo 8GB RAM. Big difference over the HDD in the stress test. We'll see how it feels day-to-day...

With SATA III, read is amazing...

That is great! I figured this would net me noticeable gains right now and eventually when I upgrade to a new computer, I can swap in the M4 to take advantage of SATA III.

Did you enable trim? I read a lot of back and forth on whether or not it was beneficial to the M4...
