SSD upgrade cured my slow shutdown!

I was not expecting this, but I got a Samsung 256GB Pro and now my shutdown to sleep are back to Lion / pre 10.8.2 levels!

So makes me think, are Apple not addressing this issue as everyone is moving to SSD?

Experienced same until a few days later, and back to 20 second shutdown again. Installed the small app that another member provided. May want to give it bit of time before claiming that it is fixed by an SSD. Report back in a few days will ya ? 😉

I thought I would wait a few days before replying. Shutdowns are still at pre 10.8.2 levels after 5 days. 😀

Thanks for the update. Interesting results. Mine are different, but since I used another method to get the 3 second shut down, I will not pursue this any further. Hope 10.9 coming out will solve everyones shutdown problems.
