    Hi guys,

I'm possibly going to buy a MacBook Air in the next couple of months, and was wondering if anyone had any insight on the possibility of new/larger SSD drives in the MBA. Reading this article, things looked promising but I haven't seen updates since:

Also, what are the possibilities that the interface becomes SATA to actually justify the price of increased speed (not just random read but sequential) of SSD?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Marc

Its just a matter of time when they reload the MBA with a larger SSD capacity and lower price. Id wait for now on the SSD but if you need it and have the loot, its the best configuration you can have for the MBA at the moment.

Thanks, I do realize that the price of NAND flash is dropping at a decent rate (been reading about 50% per year) but I was hoping for some more in-depth analysis of SSD vis-a-vis the MacBook Air, based on the trend of typical Apple refreshes.
More specifically, is it reasonable to assume that an update to the MBA is likely to happen every half-year or so with increase storage/CPU speeds?

Also, I'm really curious as to whether we'll ever see SATA in the MBA to improve sequential reads and writes.
Would SATA require massive redesign of the pencil-long board, or is it conceivable that it makes it in a future rev. within the next year?

    Thanks
    -Marc
