Is there a tethered way to SSH? I travel a lot and don't have wifi very much these days while I'm out here.

If not tethered than is it possible to SSH while using MyWi?

Thanks!

About the only way I know of is to install one of the tethering hacks, then turn on USB tethering. One you hook it up, your iPhone will assign your PC an address via DHCP and you'll be able to access it via the X.X.X.1 address.

Otherwise you are stuck using one of the file managers like iFunBox, which can accomplish some of the same things as SSH, but not all.

Edit:

I see you have MyWi. Just tether to your phone via USB and then access it via the subnet.1 address I mentioned above. I don't have MyWi installed, but it'll be something like 192.168.x.1,10.x.x.1 or 172.x.x.1. Just look at the IP the iPhone connection assigns you when you turn on USB tethering and change the last block to .1

its easier than you think... im in the same boat, need to SSH and im on the road with only a laptop...

have your PC set up an ADHOC network thats set to 'connect when network isnt broadcasting" give it an SSID and a password. it will show up on your iphone, connect your iphone to your adhoc wireless network, and you can then SSH!
