macOS ssh localhost

how exactly, in teminal do i connect to localhost? how do i login in, password etc.?

or use your actual IP address.

The question doesn't make sense. If you have terminal open you're already connected to "localhost"

Doing an "ssh localhost" just gets you the same shell you're already in, nested inside itself.
