Regarding the SSH preference switch which is automatically added by the latest "easiest jailbreak ever" hack....do you need to download the "open SSH" app from the installer as well to make this work....or does it already include this function?

What I mean is.....is it only the switch (to be used in conjunction with the existing Open SSH app)...or is it the whole shebang (switch and open SSH in one)?

Haha, I'd hardly include just a switch.

If you switch it on without rebooting, then it takes awhile to connect the first time (due to keys being generated). I just uploaded a new version that will generate the key as soon as you flick the switch on and will tell you when it's done. I find that to be easier than waiting an indeterminate amount of time for a connection.

Perhaps post any more questions about that j/b method in Planetbeing's thread?

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/377126/

I read and re-read that entire thread a few times, you will note the above quote DOESN'T say open SSH "APP"...it might be refering to the switch.....I just wanted to be sure.

On a side note, it constantly amuses me that a number of posters will take the time to post a smart-ass response, when they could have spent less than half that time just simply answering the question. With some, it would be better if they hadn't bothered replying at all....

It might be shocking to you that some have no experience in these matters, are really trying their best, and are just looking for a little re-assurance or direction from seasoned pros.....I can assure you there are a number of fields where those roles (pro vs. noob) would be reversed.
You might need some help someday, and you would probably not appreciate a smarmy comment or two.......

After all, what are these forums for anyways....

Thank you for your clarification, I appreciate your quick response.

Once again, thanks a million for providing an incredibly easy way for even us Noobs to JB their touch....even if I have proven that it can't be made completely idiot proof!
