You need an Internet connection to install anything on an iPhone.

What is the point of installing SSH without Edge/Wifi (ie, the only way you are going to be able to use it)

You could download the debian file manually, copy it to the iPhone and install it with dpkg, but SSH is worthless without some sort of network connection.

If you read the context of the post, the poster is saying you need a network connection.....no need to get parochial because he used the word "Internet" instead of "network".

Try iPhone explorer, its a little buggy at times but it might work out for you.

As long as OpenSSH is already installed you can use the USB cable and the help of a program called iTunnel
