Question to anyone who uses a Solid State Hybrid Drive (SSHD)

Do these things dramatically improve performance when loading folders that have a lot of files in them (thousands)?

My main boot drive is an Accelsior (love it!) but I have two traditional hard drives. My complaint is when I open a folder on one of these drives that has a ton of files in it, often I have to wait several seconds for it to load the file list.

SSHDs are supposed to use their solid state portion as a cache for frequently accessed files. My assumption is each folder's file list would be one of those files and a SSHD should greatly speed up loading times. If this has been anyone's experience please let me know!

Well, no one I asked in the tech world could answer me, and I needed to upgrade my drives anyways, so I picked up two 2TB Seagate Solid State Hybrid Drives. Pleased to report that my assumption was correct!

Loading large file lists still has a slight delay but they load significantly faster. Thumbnails, too. Very pleased so far; these drives are amazingly quiet.

Somehow the whole computer feels noticeably snappier in general, even though these are secondary drives and don't host any of the OS.
