Stacks grid view highlighting

If I open my Applications stack and hover the cursor over some applications and folders a grey box 'highlights' the name of the file. However this doesn't seem to happen to all files.

Just wondering why it happens to some files but not others.

You can see Penguin Arena has been highlighted when the cursor is hovering, but Photo Booth did not.

Oh I'm so dumb...

Its because the filenames are too long.
