Just got my 2.2 macbook, and am loving it. However, the stacks were showing up when I first stated using the os, but after a while they have discontinued to show when clicking on the documents, downloads folders in the dock. Anyone have any ideas about this.

I was seeing nothing. However, this morning, everything is back to normal.

how do you set up new stacks?

you place a folder onto the dock, creating a stack. it's a bit inconvenient if, say, you wanted a stack of only your favorite apps. you'd need to place those apps or aliases of those apps in a new folder and have that go on your dock.

i foolishly figured out how to create stacks right after i posted this
but if i wanted to create a 'photo' stack with say, PS, DPP, and other applications, i'd have to first create a new folder specifically for them then add that to my dock, correct?
and can you change the icon rather than having it shown as just a folder with the name above it?
