Ok, I was a Stage Manager hater, but lately I've been using an ultra-wide screen monitor and realized that SM has been very useful on that size. I mean, I'm beginning to think that it was meant to be used on this kind of resolution. It has to be. I was happy using it on iPad Pro when I was holding the iPad and with the thumb I was able to switch between windows but on my desktop it was like stupid because Mission Control was good enough for productivity. Then a new monitor arrived in my office and now SM is the way to go! Any of you with the same experience?

That makes sense. I'm a happy and intensive user of Spaces/Desktops. I tried SM many times and still don't like it, but that's because I'm using my MBA's screen, run almost all my apps zoomed, and have my dock on the left.

With an ultra-wide montor, which I've never used, there'd be plenty of space for the SM icons.

I understand what you're saying. I work on a native resolution 4K external display with my Mini and having a lot of pixel estate is the reason for which I don't quite find SM nice to use, since I have to float towards left quite e bit to get to the little icons, while with Mission Control or swiping to get to another full screen app is much easier for me.
