Can anyone tell me HOW to get this working in MacOS 10.4 and/or 10.5?

This actually totally looks like something that fits into the design language of Leopard. Wouldn't seem out of place with all the coverflow being everywhere :p

Is that an actual screen shot or a mock-up?
I did some digging around and it seems like a mock up, although there is a narrative that it was 'developed in 2006 and called 'shrinky dink' or 'always-on exposé'

Problem with that is that those terms don't show anything. Not to mention the fact that this is a screenshot of Leopard, but weirdly enough with an App Store icon, which isn't even the right one.

That looks more like Snow Leopard than Leopard. But, regardless, I haven't heard of "Always On Expose"

Yes, but it still doesn't make sense. It being 'developed' during the development of Leopard, the screenshot having a fake looking App Store icon, which didn't ship on Leopard at all, and only much later on SL. The screenshot is supposedly from 2006. The original blog post was removed, but here's the cached page of it

As a graphic designer by trade, I'd just point one thing out…all the pages on the right and left side are of uneven size. If this was truly an Apple implementation that isn't something they'd let ship. I mean, they make sure that Apple store entrances are symmetrical when they design them (even on each side of the entry doors).

This isn't Apple in my book.

Agreed. This is a design car crash on multiple levels.

Agree, Mac Store came late with Snow Leopard. So I highly doubt this is running on PPC.

I agree, but let's give it the benefit of doubt. Perhaps early code? Still the whole Leopard and Mac Store screams mock-up.

Also problem with shadows, right-bottom area ...

Nope, SL Finder has (in icon view) a small icon scale slider in the right bottom corner, though i'm a little confused by the pink iDisk icon in the sidebar as neither 10.5 nor 10.6 (in their fully patched version) have pink but blue icons. Anyone here knows if that may have changed in later revisions of either OS?

EDIT: Nevermind, should've consulted Wikipedia, indeed they changed the color from 10.5.7 pink to 10.5.8 blue
