I'm looking for a fast browser for an aging eMac and came across Stainless. Their website suggests it's main competition is Google Chrome. So I'm wondering, is it basically a port of Chrome to PPC?
Although Stainless started out as a technology demo to showcase our own multi-processing architecture in response to Google Chrome, we've been inspired by our growing fanbase to forge ahead and craft Stainless into a full-fledged browser.
They just saw Chrome's ability to separate each tab in to a different process and wrote their own implementation of that concept, then they turned it in to a fully featured browser.
Stainless is a fast stable web browser I have been using it as my main browser since late last night and it works great for what I do. I would recomend Stainless to anyone with a powerpc machine
