I used to be about the regular stainless model, but then I started to gravitate towards the black stainless because it does have a unique look to it and I don’t see that model very often in public. Once you start pairing bands with it, it’s much easier than one would think.
When i tried the SS model its more of a traditional watch... It looks better with leather and metal bands....
My bands are mostly sport band, nylon and sport loop... It looks better with space black....
The shine on ss demands a more serious looking band... Hahah..

My Series 0 was stainless, and I bought both a link bracelet and rubber band (as well as some third party strap options.) Over time, I realized that I always just wear it on the rubber, so I've recently purchased the Space Black Series 3 on black rubber. I like the somewhat incognito, all-black vibe.

@rockitdog here is my SBSS as of today:

Thanks for posting the photo. I had an original stainless and want to go back to stainless. Great deals now on SBSS with black Milanese bands. I was aware of the scratch issue, caused by these bands. No one has complained they affected performance. The decision will be living with the unavoidable scratches caused by these bands. Since these watches will have a 2 to 3 life, as opposed to a 20 life on traditional watches, it may be acceptable. On stainless, every time my 1988 Rolex comes back from a cleaning, the stainless steel looks brand new.

One reservation, comparing my space grey aluminum with your photo, there’s Just not much of a difference in appearance. Don’t think anyone would know the difference. The wearer would know the difference, and that’s important too.

I've worn it every single day since original release, so nearly two years now. I've found it fine in all occasions from business meetings to the beach!

[doublepost=1545915446][/doublepost]I posted my reply as part of the original message. I was confused by the setup. See wording starting, “ Thanks for posting”

I owned the series 1 in stainless. It’s versatile but it does mark up easily. I’ve now owned SSSB in series 3 and 4. It’s my favorite for sure. The case is very durable and scratch resistant. I like the simple black sports band but it looks great with the white too. I’m sure it can be paired nicely with many of the bands.

Happy to share experiences! I’m now on my third SB watch, having upgraded to a Series 4. My series 0 watch still looked perfect this year when I part exchanged it with Apple. Here’s a video with a close up look at the body so you can see how it still looked fantastic:

I bought the ss since I had a ss series 0 and a few bands that match such as Milanese and classic buckle.

I went with the Space Black stainless steel option. The extra scratch resistance was just too hard to pass up.

I also think that the concept of "not enough bands" with the Space Black watches is WAY overblown. There are a ton of bands and colors that match the black very well. Even lighter colored bands often work well, as they provide a striking contrast that looks good overall.

I bought last year the AW 3 SS wifi +cell today it will cost me $902 include tax, I want to buy a new AW 4 wifi+cell trying to sell my old one and can't get $500 so when i sell it I for sure going to by the Aluminum one if you going to keep it for long time buy the SS but if you like the new option that the new AW will come out buy the AL
