Just say F it and get the Ceramic.

I can't justify the price point for the ceramic. I know it's slightly lighter than the stainless steel and has excellent scratch resistance, but aesthetically, it does not work for me, especially the white Ceramic. I prefer the weight of the black stainless steel or regular stainless steel Apple Watch. The stainless models have more of a traditional watch look with the shine that I like.

SS screen is more fingerprint magnet ... is it because of the glossy sapphire?

Oleophobic coating. Which is natural and wears off over time with usage. That said, its also important member everybody will have a different reaction touching the Apple Watch display leaving prints because of varying fingerprint composition.

I guess I got spoiled testing my son's Stainless Steel S0 to see if I want an S3 or S4. I don't find the screen to be a fingerprint magnet at all. Guess I wash my hands a lot :)

When I went into Best Buy to see other colors, I was not impressed with the silver aluminum. Looked a major step down from the SS S0 I have. Just aesthetics, I know. The grey one looked better.

I am leaning toward the Black SS.

How is your black SS doing Relentless Power?

It is still a watch, so that is a huge thing to consider :D

When the Apple Watch first launched in April 2015, I Purchased the sport model because it was the cheapest and I didn’t know if I would like a smart watch to begin with. To say the least, as much as I enjoyed the lighter weight of the aluminum, I did not care for the durability with the Ion-X Glass. The 7000 series aluminum construction is excellent, and is ideal for physical fitness, but I opted for the stainless and I found it more pleasing for me in the sense that looks it more and feels more premium, and virtually any band can be paired with the regular stainless model. Of course there is the ability to buff the scratches out of the 316 L stainless if you want with a cape cod cloth.

I really like the space black stainless Apple Watch. For two reasons, it has a really unique shine to it and once the light reflects off of it, it kind of gives it a different appeal with the black. And of course, the diamond like carbon coating (DLC), is extremely durable and my stainless steel black Apple Watch was pristine with the help of the coating. Some think it’s difficult to pair bands with, I don’t necessarily think it is. If you’re someone that’s concerned about scratches or you don’t like to see damage, then I would suggest the space black stainless watch. And of course the stainless model includes the Sapphire display, which is highly scratch resistant.

Thanks, I like the black SS. Was thinking of a black nylon band with it. Wearing a grey one with my son's AW. Guess I got the name right. Ones with the velcro. Son's band also. Not sure I am onboard for a black Milanese band. Saw some negatives on You Tube review. Back getting scratched from mesh and pinching if wore up toward hand.

The black Milanese loop has a diamond like carbon coating on it, which can scratch the heart rate sensor area and display if you’re not careful with it. If you do you purchase one, just lie the watch on its side and not allow the band to rest on the Watch.

Thanks, good idea. Still would be nervous at the cost invested. But, they look gorgeous with the Black SS. Although, I haven't seen one in person yet. Best Buy only had the knock-offs visible. I need to get to a Apple Store.

Also, there are plenty of third-party bands available on the market as well. You don’t have to pay Apples prices, just know that they likely won’t have the construction and build quality that Apples do.

I would most definitely buy Apple. Cost isn't a concern. Just the issue of the investment vs damage possibilities.

Pretty sure I would go with a black nylon like I am wearing now.

The Nylon bands are completely underrated. They are extremely lightweight, durable and allow your wrist to breath unlike the sport been made of flueroastamer. The Only drawback to the nylon band, is if they do get wet, you do have to allow them to dry, otherwise they can form mildew.

Thanks, won't get wet.

I guess the correct name I was looking for is Black Sport Loop. I like it a lot. Never cared for the ones with holes in the band. Never could get the tightness right.

I had a Series 0 then a Series 2 Silver Stainless and loved them. Just sold my S0. Keeping the S2 SS for a while as I love the look of it with the silver Milanese band.

I now also have a SBS3 with a SB Milanese and love it too. Not sure what I a going to go for on the S4, but SS all the way.

I love the premium feel of both. Like Relentless Power said, the SB does pair with nearly every thing, but you do have to be a bit careful with the Milanese band.

It is a tough call for me between the SS silver and the SS black; if I only had one though it would probably be the SS Silver, it just edges the black to me, though it does need buffing every few months. Ah 1st world problems....

Is that your watch in your Avatar. Looks great. Like the white on black face----

My gut tells me Apple is moving toward only having 2 AW models, Aluminum and Stainless Steel. SS being their premium offer. I just can't see Apple offering Ceramic for much longer. What do you think?
[doublepost=1523062974][/doublepost]I also think Apple will add a new SS watch band priced in-between the Milanese Loop and Link Bracelet, and phase out the Link Bracelet.

I like the SS link bracelet. It looks silly on an aluminum watch and fantastic on a SS watch.

The SS crown feels smoother.

I don't worry about scratching the crystal, and light scratches on the case can be buffed out. Buffing aluminum only makes things worse.

The SS weight makes the watch feel more solid and luxurious.

Good post. Given the price point of the stainless models being significantly more expensive, you’re paying for the materials, and if you’re somebody that really does appreciate the more substantial feeling of a ‘watch’, the stainless model really does deliver with the weight, shine and overall a appeal. Even when I see someone in person wearing the sport model or stainless model, it’s immediately significant the stainless model really looks nice paired with a leather band or stainless steel link. And the sapphire display of course is underrated, but crucial.
