I would like to find a 3" riser for my 27" iMac. My searches have all proven fruitless. It seems (to me), risers for 24" and smaller Macs abound, but nothing for the 27".

I suppose I could use a ream or two of paper, but I prefer something classier, like it was designed for my machine.

Your thoughts, suggestions, and musings most welcome.

You could put it on an arm, there is a thread here that is multiple pages long. link

Monoprice makes cheap monitor arms, some articulate, some just sit there. link

The only other things that are available that I know of are by macessity, but only raise the height by 1-2", not 3.

Alas, an arm is just not doable (for me), though it is a grand idea.

Still, I most appreciate your time and consideration (and the links)

Perhaps an old dictionary or such awaits, though I will hate it.

Thanks again, kellen.

I just emailed the manufacturer asking about UBoards for 27" iMacs. I'll post back when a reply is received.

The manufacturer/distributer just replied that as the stand supports 15 kg and the 27" iMac weighs 13.8 kg, there is ample "margin".

FWIW, The UBoard is 3.1" high and 22" in length. I do not know the depth dimension.

And yes, all is again, right with the world. Well, thanks to you that is! :D

I chickened out and cancelled it because of reviews saying it bows in the middle with a 27" iMac. GAH!

Is there an alternative?

A couple of bricks/books wrapped in matching paper/foil :p

Or make a stand out of the same material as your desk...

Or ebay computer stand...

Or google computer stand...

Or y'know just look around...

I have. I've found nothing really that does justice to the iMac I spent a lot of $ on. :)

I appreciate the links! Sadly, none of those really do the Apple aesthetic proud while raising the iMac 3-4 inches. The Space Bar Desk Organizer was the closest to what I wanted, but doesn't give information on how much it will hold, and doesn't raise the screen high enough...

But thank you again for the links!

Many thanks to you all for the links and commentary.

FWIW: Rather than guessing how high I wanted the riser to be, I actually tested my ideal height by adding/subtracting paper under the base until Nirvana was achieved.

In my case, it's 2". There are several granite quarries nearby, so next week I'll see if a scrap piece can be cut to my specs without breaking my bank.
